Loofah Dish & Bath Sponge – Eco Collective

A plastic-free sponge made straight from a loofah plant! Perfect for exfoliating skin, washing dishes, or general household cleaning.

Lasts about 6 months with typical use, and can be cut into smaller pieces to extend the life of each sponge. Loofah’s are a natural product made from a dried gourd, so each product will have slight variations in size and shape.

Unpackaged, compostable, multipurpose, and plastic-free. 

Use & Care 

Use as a sponge, for dishes or home cleaning. If you’d like, you can cut it into several smaller sponge slices with a bread knife.

Let dry thoroughly after each use. You can also sanitize it from time to time by microwaving for 15 seconds.

Safe for nonstick pots and pans.

Our loofahs can also be used for bath and body, to create a lather with soap, exfoliate skin and stimulate circulation.

With daily use, each loofah will last around 6 months.

Each loofah is approx. 4″ long  and 2-3″ round.

Loofahs are 100% plant fiber, meaning they are vegan, cruelty free and plastic free. They are made from the dried loofah plant. Our loofahs are unprocessed and unbleached.

Origin

Our loofahs are from a US company owned by a female US Navy veteran. They are based in South Dakota and are the producers of the Hippie Haven podcast all about sustainability! Their products are small batch, ethically made, and non-toxic.

End of Life

You can compost these in your backyard or bury them in your garden, and they will break down within 30 days. They can be commercially composted where available as well.
