Tinted Facial Moisturizer – SPF 30+ – Eco Collective
I’ve purchased this exact product before but from a different store, so when I bought this from ecocollective, I already knew what it would be like. The size of this tin is perfect – small enough to throw in my bag when I’m headed outside, whether to the beach/lake or just to the park for a picnic, but large enough to have a good amount of product inside (and so it doesn’t get lost inside the bag 🙂 I also now use my old empty tin in my bathroom to hold my aluminum crystal deodorant & shampoo bar from ecocollective! The product itself goes a long way – it’s a really thick texture, so I’ve found that I don’t need to use much of it to cover my face and shoulders. I used to use this as my everyday face moisturizer a few years ago, but it’s definitely too thick and a little greasy for that, even for my dry Black skin. Now, I use a different daily moisturizer that has aloe vera (which has a weak natural SPF I think? Need to do more research), and for days when I’ll be outside, I layer this tinted moisturizer/sunscreen on top, especially for my cheekbones/nose/shoulders where I burn the most. This layering technique works MUCH better for me and my skin. The sunscreen has a unique but nice smell, and the tint is very subtle, blending in to my skin nicely (note: I’m a mixed race Black person with medium skin tone). I liked this product enough to buy it twice, but I will probably try out some other ones when this one runs out.
